Meet Francisco

Franky began his Real Estate career in 2013 at Coldwell Banker.  He was among the first agents to join Compass Real Estate when it entered the Mid-Atlantic market in 2015 and has been recognized as a top agent at Compass every year since he joined the brokerage.  Franky is licensed in DC, MD, and VA and holds a broker’s license in Washington, DC

 

With over 10 years of experience and over $250,000,000 in career sales, Franky brings a wealth of knowledge to any real estate transaction.  Franky has worked with a broad range of clients including first-time buyers and sellers, experienced buyers and sellers, investors, and developers.  In addition, Franky has a broad range of experience handling different types of properties and transactions including, single family homes, townhomes, condominiums, cooperatives, multifamily properties, light commercial properties, vacant land, short sales, and foreclosures.

 

His unrivaled work ethic, combined with his negotiating prowess and comprehensive knowledge of the area, has helped him earn the trust of countless individuals throughout DC, Maryland, and Virginia.  Franky specializes in selling properties that are difficult to sell and has a unique ability to understand the motivations that drive buyers to a purchase.  His attention to detail and tireless work ethic ensure that his listings are always presented in the best light and that the process runs smoothly for his clients.  In addition, his emphasis on clear communication ensures that his clients are kept in the loop and informed of where things stand at all times.

 

In addition to helping sellers list their home, Franky also works with buyers to help them find the home of their dreams.  Franky has a reputation of working tirelessly for his buyers and goes above and beyond to find them the perfect home.  His endless patience means that buyers never feel rushed or pressured to make a move and that the focus is on finding them the right home.  Because of his extensive network and experience, Franky is many times able to find buyers properties that are not publicly listed and give them a unique advantage as they search for their next home.

 

Franky is also an experienced real estate investor.  He has renovated numerous properties and currently owns 16 rental units in the Baltimore-DC area.  His experience as a real estate investor gives him a unique perspective into different facets of the real estate business not typically seen by most agents.  He is well-versed in the acquisition and construction of investment properties, as well as the challenges associated with purchasing, renovating, owning, and managing rental properties at scale.

 

Francisco (Franky) Hoyos was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina and moved to the United States at age 10, spending his formative years in Connecticut.  Franky is a graduate of Brunswick School in Greenwich, CT.  He holds a bachelor’s degree in economics with a minor in psychology from the University of Virginia (UVA), as well as master’s degree from the McIntire School of Commerce at UVA.

 

Franky has previously lived in a number of different DC neighborhoods, including Mount Vernon Square, Adams Morgan, Dupont Circle, and Kalorama.  He currently resides in the Woodley Park neighborhood of Washington, DC with his wife and 2 children.  In his free time he enjoys watching his children play sports, spending time outdoors, exploring new areas, and the occasional round of golf.
